A totally configurable safety module which allows for monitoring of numerous safety devices such as E-stop buttons, interlocking switches, safety light screens, two-hand controls and rope pull switches.

Features of the Banner SC22-3 Safety Controller include:

  • Totally configurable and flexible safety controller that can easily replace multiple dedicated safety modules.
  • Controller monitors up to 22 devices for contact failure or wiring faults.
  • Each input can be a non-safety input, or configured for Control Reliability or Category 2, 3 or 4 safety circuit performance per ISO 13849-1.
  • 22 input terminals can monitor both contact-based or PNP solid-state outputs from Banner devices or any other manufacturers.
  • Safety input devices include E-stop buttons, interlocking switches, safety light screens, two-hand controls, safety mats and edges, rope pulls, muting sensors, enabling devices and bypass switches.
  • 3 pairs of solid-state safety outputs rated at 0.75A each (24V dc).
  • Safety outputs can be used with selectable one- or two-channel external device monitoring.
  • Safety outputs can have an ON-delay or OFF-delay.
  • 10 configurable auxiliary status outputs track inputs, outputs, lockout, I/O status and other functions.
  • Models are 24V dc supply voltage.
  • Controller includes automatic reset, manual reset and monitored manual reset options.
  • Configuration is extremely easy with the built-in front panel LCD display or using a PC Interface.
  • Front panel screen and LEDs offer easy setup and exceptional diagnostics "in the panel" without a PC.
  • Live Display and a Fault Log provide real-time system and fault history identification.
  • Controller is designed to meet stringent standards including Safety Integrity Level (SIL) 3 per IEC 62061 and IEC 61508, and Category 4 Performance Level (PL e) per ISO 13849-1.
